The Commander of the Philippine Naval Forces West is called <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Erwin_Rommel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rommel<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/neokunst.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/02\/index.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jude<\/a> (and he is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/rommel-jude-adorable-4094a2a7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not the only one<\/a>)<br \/>\n3. Judging by TV programs, Filipinos love 3 things:<strong> basketball, cockfighting, and singing children contests<\/strong>. But Filipinos LOVE basketball most of all.<br \/>\n4. Filipinos are amazing <strong>musicians<\/strong> (and the singing kids are all impressive too).<br \/>\n5. The guy who stars in Tanduay Rhum ubiquitous ads is called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm2074966\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Derek Ramsay<\/a>, a half British, half Filipino seriously good looking actor who is apparently not <a href=\"http:\/\/starwars.wikia.com\/wiki\/Jango_Fett\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jango Fett<\/a>\u2019s little brother.<br \/>\n6. The Philippines are the only place where no one is surprised about Switzerland having 3 (ok, 4) <strong>national languages<\/strong>: they have around <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Languages_of_the_Philippines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">135<\/a>.<br \/>\n7. The third religion after Roman Catholicism and Islam is the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Iglesia_ni_Cristo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iglesa Ni Cristo<\/a>, an <strong>indigenous dynastic church<\/strong> that considers all other churches to be apostates.<br \/>\n8. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jos%C3%A9_Rizal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jose Rizal<\/a> was a kind of real life superhero who managed to be an ophthalmologist, sculptor, painter, educator, farmer, historian, playwright and journalist before he turned 35; he then sacrificed himself as <strong>revolutionary martyr<\/strong>, his execution by Spain eventually resulting in the (short<span class=\"reference-text\"><cite class=\"citation web\">&#8211;<\/cite><\/span>lived) first philippine independence two years later.
