Parce qu&#8217;ils sont si difficiles \u00e0 saisir, on parle aussi de \u00ab&nbsp;particules fant\u00f4mes&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des d\u00e9couvertes r\u00e9centes ont cependant montr\u00e9 que les neutrinos non seulement existent bel et bien, mais ont une masse, si infime \u2013 infiniment plus faible encore que celle des \u00e9lectrons \u2013 qu\u2019ils n\u2019interagissent que tr\u00e8s rarement avec la mati\u00e8re et peuvent ainsi <strong>traverser \u00e0 une vitesse proche de la lumi\u00e8re des plan\u00e8tes enti\u00e8res sans heurter un seul atome.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme les photons, les neutrinos sont produits par le soleil.<strong> On estime que 60 milliards de neutrinos provenant du soleil traversent \u00e0 chaque seconde chaque centim\u00e8tre carr\u00e9 de la surface terrestre, y compris notre propre corps.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comment tirer profit de particules si infiniment petites que m\u00eames les atomes ne les freinent pas? Les physiciens consid\u00e8rent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement cela comme une impossibilit\u00e9, mais l\u2019\u00e9trange soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Neutrino Energy, enregistr\u00e9e sous le nom de Neutrino Inc. aux \u00c9tats-Unis et Neutrino Germany GmbH en Allemagne, affirme qu\u2019elle serait sur le point d\u2019y parvenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:23px\"><strong>Recharger les batteries \u00e0 partir du vide<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neutrino a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e en 2015 par l\u2019homme d\u2019affaires allemand Holger Thorsten Schubart. Apres avoir fait fortune dans la construction et l\u2019immobilier suite \u00e0 la r\u00e9unification du pays, Schubart a semble-t-il d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019investir dans la recherche sur les neutrinos, dans lesquels il affirme voir une source d\u2019\u00e9nergie potentiellement infinie, disponible partout et tout le temps \u2013\u00a0 la solution future \u00e0 tous les probl\u00e8mes \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques de l&#8217;humanit\u00e9. En un mot, Schubart veut charger les batteries \u00e0 partir de l\u2019insaisissable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La technologie de Neutrino Energy serait bas\u00e9e sur des couches ultrafines de graph\u00e8ne et de silicium, qui d\u00e9gageraient une charge quand elles sont coll\u00e9es \u00e0 un substrat m\u00e9tallique qui \u00ab vibre \u00bb lorsqu&#8217;il est frapp\u00e9 par des neutrinos. <strong>Le groupe affirme coop\u00e9rer avec une centaine de chercheurs dans le monde dans le but de convertir le spectre de rayonnement invisible du soleil, dont les neutrinos, en puissance \u00e9lectrique<\/strong>, et de mettre cette technologie sur le march\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:23px\"><strong>L\u2019&#8221;\u00e9volution naturelle&#8221; de l\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur ses (multiples) sites, Neutrino rappelle a juste titre que si l&#8217;\u00e9nergie photovolta\u00efque a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte au milieu du XIXe si\u00e8cle, ce n&#8217;est que plus d&#8217;un si\u00e8cle plus tard que les panneaux solaires ont trouv\u00e9 leur premi\u00e8re application pratique, dans l&#8217;exploration spatiale. Et m\u00eame alors, les critiques rejetaient l&#8217;id\u00e9e qu\u2019ils pourraient un jour servir de sources d&#8217;\u00e9nergie fiables sur Terre. Aujourd&#8217;hui bien s\u00fbr, l&#8217;\u00e9nergie solaire est devenue une industrie pesant plusieurs milliards de dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors, l\u2019\u00e9nergie des neutrinos repr\u00e9senterait-elle l\u2019\u00e9volution naturelle de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie solaire, comme l&#8217;affirme Neutrino Inc.? La lumi\u00e8re du soleil \u00e9tant visible et chaude, c&#8217;est \u00e9videmment la fr\u00e9quence du rayonnement solaire la plus \u00e9vidente pour produire de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie, mais le neutrinovolta\u00efque pourrait \u2013 en th\u00e9orie, toujours \u2013 s&#8217;av\u00e9rer plus pratique pour la production d&#8217;\u00e9nergie. <strong>Contrairement \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re, les neutrinos traversent la Terre et ressortent de l&#8217;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, donc pourraient, th\u00e9oriquement, continuer de charger un syst\u00e8me en continu, m\u00eame en pleine nuit &#8211; par le sol.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schubart doit bien admettre que les dispositifs neutrinovolta\u00efques ont encore bien du chemin \u00e0 parcourir avant de pouvoir \u00eatre, un jour et \u00e9ventuellement, mis en \u0153uvre. Mais il se dit convaincu que tout comme les cellules photovolta\u00efques, cette technologie sera finalement accept\u00e9e comme une solution viable aux besoins \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques mondiaux.
